The Simone's Rose Fall/Winter 2011 collection was inspired by the french and Quebecois film "Aurore". A touching and true story about a young girl who dies at the hand of physical and mental abuse. The idea behind the collection is the imagined future of Aurore in her twenties, had she survived. The collection takes inspiration from rural and every day fashions of the thirties when she would have been a young woman. Find out more about the story by visiting my blog! Simone's Rose:

With this collection I hope to raise some awareness about the film and the true story behind it. I also hope the story will move you, as it moved me. I will never stay silent or turn a blind eye to any kind of abuse after seeing this film. It only takes one person to make a difference or to give someone the strength to do something about their situation. Let's speak up against abuse and stand strong for those who don't have a voice.
